wow...our stories are similar I wore a brace in high school from 7th to 12th grade and my freshman year of college...I did avoid surgery but then started having pain problems and posture issues around age 25 and now I am back in the brace for pain mgt and support...my sister had to wear a brace and have surgery and she has had her rods removed also....she had alot of pain from the rods causing problems and got a good bit of relief when they where removed which she was told was not uncommon.
I understand you wore the milwaukee in hs, what type are you wearing now? I was always told that braces would not work after you had surgery glad its working for you.
Did you keep any of your old braces? Do you have any photos of your back or brace you would not mind sharing? I am very interested in talking about these things if you are also....
